Viewers! The beloved Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg is coming to Bath this [EDIT: Friday] for "an open question and answer session" with the electorate.

As a Lib Dem voter for the past 20 years, I feel I ought to pop along and hear his views on the topics of the day. What should I ask him?

Flame war

This story happened a couple of weeks ago, but I've only just stumbled across it. Last April, comedian Mark Watson wrote a blog post about the controversy that was raging about an incident during Frankie Boyle's then-current stand-up tour, in which he'd been confronted about some Down's Syndrome jokes by the mother of a child with the condition.

Watson took a thoughtful view, but also expressed some mild discomfort with the material. Several months later, Boyle apparently found the piece and decided to make a contribution to the debate.
